Leaving Shortland Street[]
When inspector Lara Wade was investigating the Ferndale killings, she uncovered that Gavin raped a woman named Denise. Lara then proceeded to arrest him and friend Justin Salt for rape and suspicion of murder, however, it was revealed that Joey Henderson was the strangler. He has not returned in 2008, so it is suspected that either he was found guilty for rape, and is serving time in prison, or he has left for America as he planned to in 2007.
